Week of 3/15-3/21

Considering that this week was spring break, I technically had the week off and with the team no longer competing there was little to report on. As I said in my last blog I still will continue my internship even though class have moved online and the NCAA canceled all sports. This next week I am planning on working on a few things for the seniors to post on social media.
Even though I had the week off, it was still busy for me. I had to pack my all my clothes in just a day and get my apartment ready for me to leave for a while. My parents do not want me at school because of COVID-19.
This Monday my mother told me that she would be flying out from Hollywood-Burbank on Tuesday to drive me back to California. We left early Wednesday morning and made our way across the states. We usually drive across New Mexico and stay the night at my Grandma's house in Eastern Arizona. However, we did not want to risk her health so we drove through Flagstaff AZ and to the Grand Canyon. All through Flagstaff it was snowing, my mom and I aren't used to driving in the snow so this was a little scary for us. We stayed in the Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon.
It snowed all night and we were unsure if we would be able to see the Grand Canyon because we thought the roads might be bad. They ended up plowing the roads and we went to the look out. I was a little bummed that my mom and I could not hike because of the ice and snow, but the view was breath taking. It was so beautiful. I hope that I can go bad there this summer and hike.
Anyways, I am back home safe in California. We are trying to stay inside and wash our hands frequently. I spent all of Friday writing essays and catching up on emails. Today (Saturday) my family and I went for a long hike with our dogs and now I am catching on homework.
Stay healthy and wash your hands.
