Hey! So Glad You're Here.
My name is Klarissa Barley. I am a Junior, majoring in Mass Media Communications (emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations) and minoring in English.
I have been a member of the team since my freshman year of college and I have been riding since I was seven years old. Prior to the team I showed in the 'A' Circuit in the Junior Equitation and Hunters. I am from Thousand Oaks, California. I grew up riding at Foxfield with the Postels and Nancy Turill. I was also a member of the World Famous Foxfield Drill Team, where we jumped without bridles or saddles.
I have very much enjoyed my time on the team. I have learned so much about horses and what it takes to be an adaptable rider that can get on any horse. I currently only show hunt-seat, but sometimes I get to ride in a western saddle in practices. I have shown in both open hunt-seat over fences and flat since I was a freshman. I am so thankful for the oppurtunities this team has brought me.

With the help of Coach Ellis I have achieved goals that I did know were possible upon joing WT Equestrian. The team has brought me to many new places where I got to sit on some pretty amazing horses. Every show is a learning opportunity regardless of places.
I currently am on the leadership board for the team where I serve as the Media Representative. I run all the social media accounts and create announcements about the team. I love being able to apply what I am learning as mass media undergrad to my team. One day I hope to run social media for a horse showing related company like USHJA, or even a sports team like the Los Angeles Dodgers.
